Use the resources below to find articles, images, videos, audio files, and more.  All resources can be accessed from home.  Ask a librarian or your teacher for a list of passwords for off-campus use.

Bloom’s Literature offers a wealth of relevant content on the authors and works most studied in the high school curriculum.  Includes essay topics, author interviews, full-text poems, character studies, full-length videos of classic plays and films, and much more.

B_schoolBritannica School provides continually updated articles, primary-source material, multimedia, links to expert websites, and ebooks. The homepage offers a world atlas; biography center; a “Compare Countries” tool; guides for creating book reviews, research papers, and science reports; and “My Britannica” personal account feature for saving and sharing resources.

CultureGrams helps researchers discover the world with concise cultural and statistical snapshots of every country recognized by the United Nations.  Features include video clips and slideshows, interviews, and a unique recipe collection with five local recipes for each country.

Gale Databases (English/Spanish translatable) offer a virtual library of  information from a variety of scholarly and popular sources in all academic areas.  Some of the individual databases students may find most helpful are:

Pixabay is a community of creatives, sharing copyright free images and videos. All contents are released under the Pixabay License, which makes them safe to use without asking for permission or giving credit to the artist – even for commercial purposes.

All photos published on Unsplash can be used for free. You can use them for commercial and noncommercial purposes. You do not need to ask permission from or provide credit to the photographer or Unsplash, although it is appreciated when possible.

The NYPL Digital Collections Library is a living database with new materials added every day, featuring prints, photographs, maps, manuscripts, streaming video, and more.
