Your librarians, Ms. Dragoo and Ms. Cumming, hope you had a great summer! Drop by the library and tell us about any good books you read during the break.
This post is an overview of all the free library stuff and services available at our library that you might not know about yet or have forgotten. Read on!
24/7 Access
You can access the resources on our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Check out the E-Resources page for links to online research databases, encyclopedias, multimedia files, and more. Stop by the library or e-mail Ms. Dragoo at dragoo@aps.edu for a list of passwords for remote access.
Thousands of Books
The AHS library has thousands of books that students may check out for research or leisure reading. The collection includes popular fiction, nonfiction, study guides for AP tests, books to help you choose a college and learn about financial aid, and much more – in English and Spanish! Search the collection now to see what we’ve got. If you can’t find what you are looking for, ask a librarian if the book is available at another APS library.
Study Space
The library is the perfect place to study alone in or with a group, log into your online course on one of our 34 computers, make a copy, take a breather and browse our books, or spread your math homework across a table. We are open everyday at lunch and after school until 3:30. Ask a librarian for help with Word, PowerPoint, the Internet, research tips, or any other academic need you have.
The library is a vibrant academic center where students and faculty can study, collaborate, and learn together. We are here to help you achieve academic success!!
