From the Albuquerque Journal:
Albuquerque voters will head to the polls on Oct. 3 to cast their ballots for mayor, five city council races, bond questions and, at this point, the proposed Healthy Workforce Ordinance.
It’s the first time in 20 years that an incumbent won’t be on the ballot in the mayor’s race. The names of eight mayoral candidates will be on the ballot. On the city council side, 14 candidates are running to fill five seats. Four of the council candidates are incumbents trying to stave off challenges.
If no candidate in a race gets 50 percent of the vote, that race will be decided in a runoff between the top two vote getters in November.
